Embracing Cultures, Empowering the Future - Cultural Knowledge Sharing: Myanmar

The International Center held the “Cultural Knowledge Sharing: Myanmar” event co-organized by Burmese students and International Culture Exchange (ICE) staff team under the theme of “Burmese Student Party” at floor 1, Building C6.

During the event, Burmese students welcomed participants by applying “Thanaka” on their cheeks. Then, they led participants to enjoy the traditional dance show and the modern dance show performed by BUI Dance Club, as well as the music show by the BUI Music Club. Moreover, participants got to explore Burmese culture through various activities, including Burmese Name Calligraphy, Photo Booth, and also many delicious dishes of Burmese cuisine—  Burmese Noodle Salad, Tea Leaf Salad, and Burmese Tea. Apart from cultural activities, there was a fun part before the end of the event called “Mister & Miss BU Myanmar Contest”. The candidates presented their problem-solving skills and their attitudes toward contemporary social issues. Lastly, the event ended with a DJ show, which allowed all participants and staff to delightfully celebrate the party together.

Students were supposed to learn more about Myanmar culture, make more friends, and keep this event as a memorable experience once in their campus life.
