CO-CREATE THE FUTURE: Unite Power for Change, Be the Force Transforming Tomorrow
The General Education Management Center organized a special lecture "CO-CREATE THE FUTURE: Unite Power for Change, Be the Force Transforming Tomorrow," featuring HMC Polymers Company Limited, a company in the PTT Global Chemical Limited (GC Group) group, to provide knowledge on participating in the PP Reborn project and extending to other university academic projects. They recognize [Bangkok University] as a leading Thai educational institution with many students, along with outstanding and clear concepts in sustainability and creativity.
At the event, Mr. Woramat Amartayakul, Department Manager, Corporate Communication and CSR; Ms. Wasithi Boonyawattana, Team Leader, Corporate Communication; and Ms. Kornpat Sangwalwong, Corporate Communication Officer, served as speakers to educate students in course GE107 Entrepreneurial Spirit and Leadership Skills.
HMC Polymers Company Limited is the first and largest leader in manufacturing and distributing polypropylene (PP) plastic pellets in Thailand and a leading company in the Southeast Asian region. They initiated the PP Reborn project, a platform for managing used PP plastic, with the important objective of educating and creating public participation in managing used PP plastic correctly and systematically according to circular economy principles, in cooperation with partners from both the private sector and education sector. Throughout the past period, this has resulted in tens of thousands of kilograms of used PP plastic being properly managed, reducing environmental residue and reducing the use of new resources in production.
