Bachelor’s Degree

1. Copy of educational transcript showing that the applicant has graduated or is equivalent to a degree from the Ministry of Education

In order to apply, applicants must have completed, or be presently enrolled in their final year of Mathayom 6 or Vocational School with GPA grading system, in which they are allowed to submit their academic transcripts to apply for every faculty except for the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Architecture must satisfy the standard requirements.           

** Applicants are permitted to submit their academic transcripts upon the completion of Matthayom 5 (Grade 11) or the results from the first semester of Matthayom 6 (Grade 12) for admission. The graduation approval date stated on the educational qualification document must be before the start of the semester at Bangkok University.

Passed the General Educational Development (GED) test and received a diploma equivalent to grade 12 of secondary education.

For those who have graduated from a vocational program or its equivalent from an institution accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission, can transfer credits to pursue a bachelor's degree in a program offered by the university.

2. Be or have been a student at an institute of higher education accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission.
3. Has not been expelled or dismissed from the previous university for disciplinary reasons.

Bangkok University accepts transfer students for those who have already graduated from a bachelor's degree and wish to study in a different school as a second bachelor's degree.

On-Site Application

1. Fill out the application form for new students at the Admission Center.
2. Submit the application documents.
3. Pay tuition fees, register as a student, and obtain a student ID card.
   
   Note: The university does not accept cash payments in any case, effective May 1, 2023.

Online Application

1. Fill out the application form online. 
2. Use GPAX from the last 4 semesters to apply and check the selection results 
3. Once accepted, you can pay tuition and register online.

* There will be a written examination for international programs and the Chinese international program.
** Interviews will be conducted for applicants with a GPAX less than 2.00 and for applicants who have a portfolio, please present it for consideration during the interview.

• Academic Requirement
  • Direct admission into undergraduate courses offered by BU, ONE of the following academic entry requirements must be met
    • Completed Upper Secondary School (M.6 Certificate) or its equivalent as recognized   by the Thai Ministry of Education
    • Completed High School Grade 12 (US System)
    • IGCSE / GCSE / GCE "O" level certificates with a minimum of 5 subjects at grade C or above and "A" or “AS” level certificates with a minimum of 3 subjects at grade C or above.
    • Completed International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma IB Certificate with scores not lower than "4" in at least 5 subjects
    • Completed GED
    • Complete HKDSE (Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education)
       
• English language requirement
  • Achieve the minimum score on ONE of the following English proficiency tests:
    • TOEFL 500 PBT, 173CBT, 61 IBT
    • IELTS Overall 5.0 (No part below 5.0)
    • SAT score of at least 500 in both Verbal and Math
    • Duolingo English Test (DET) 80 in all sub-scores
    • PTE score of at least 43
    • TU-GET Computer-based score of at least 61 or Paper-based score of at least 500
    • CU-TEP score of at least 70
    • British Council English Score of at least 400
    • BU Placement Test (BU Test) Online score of at least 35 or Paper-based score of at least 60
      *Test score is valid for 2 years
       
  • Exemption from English proficiency test
    We can exempt you from the English proficiency test if you meet one of the following qualifications:
    • Applicants who have passed 3 GCE 'A' Level subjects with a minimum grade of C in each subject.
    • Applicants who have passed the new GED system with a total score of 720 or above.
    • Applicants who have passed the old GED system with a total score of 3,600 or above.
    • Applicants who have received the IB Diploma Course Results (IBCR) in at least 5 different subjects, with a minimum grade of 4 in each subject.
    • Applicants who have received the BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma.
    • Applicants who are citizens of the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, or South Africa.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

Thai Applicants

• Applicants must have completed high school education, either general or vocational, or equivalent from an institution accredited by the Ministry of Education.
• Applicants who have completed a diploma program (vocational certificate, higher vocational certificate, or equivalent) from an institution accredited by the Ministry of Education must have completed their studies in a field of study that is offered by Bangkok University. 
• Applicants who have graduated from another university or higher education institution in Thailand or abroad that is accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission and are interested in studying a different undergraduate program that is offered by the university.
• Applicants to the School of Fine and Applied Arts, and the School of Architecture are required to attend an interview.

Foreign Applicants

• Foreign applicants must meet the same admission criteria as Thai applicants for each program.
• Thai language proficiency at Level I (equivalent to CU TFL) is required for foreign applicants enrolling in Thai programs.
