Bangkok University & QSNCC Partner to Cultivate MICE Professionals with a Focus on Sustainability

Bangkok University (BU) and the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) formally signed a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 25, 2025. The collaboration is designed to elevate curricula and enhance the capabilities of students and staff by focusing on modern event industry expertise, particularly in MICE Sustainability and environmental management.

The partnership concentrates on developing special projects and curricula that emphasize hands-on learning in international event management, marketing, innovation, and industry sustainability, aiming to foster a new generation of job-ready professionals who can meet global market demands.

The signing ceremony took place at the QSNCC, with executives from both institutions formalizing the agreement: Asst. Prof. Dr.Somyot Wattanakamolchai, Vice President for International Affairs, and Asst. Prof.Dr.Duangthida Nunthapirat, Assistant to the President for International Affairs and Acting Dean, Bangkok University International Programs, joined by Mr. Sutthichai Banditvoraphum, Deputy Managing Director, and Ms. Orcha Israpratiprat, Director of Marketing, from the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Also attending the ceremony were Asst. Prof. Yanan Kongjaroen, Associate Dean, Bangkok University International Programs, Ajarn Karnchana Phakpho, Chairperson of the International Tourism Management Program, and Dr. Suchada Chareanpunsirikul, Lecturer, the International Tourism Management Program.

A core component of this agreement is the plan to offer students invaluable real-world internship opportunities within the QSNCC, a leading global convention center. This direct industry exposure will equip students with the necessary experience and practical skills for professional success, marking a significant step in bridging the gap between academia and the business sector to cultivate high-quality, sustainable MICE professionals.
