In an era of rapid technological advancement, classroom learning alone may not be sufficient for developing essential skills for the future world. BU ROBOT STUDIO is the answer for developing student potential in all aspects. This creative project under the Faculty of Engineering aims to cultivate both technological knowledge and necessary life skills. BU ROBOT STUDIO is not just a laboratory but a second home for students with dreams and determination to create innovations for the future.

The Beginning of BU ROBOT STUDIO
Ajarn Nudpakun Leechaikul, or Ajarn Ohm, a lecturer in the Computer and Robotics Engineering Department, described the beginning of BU ROBOT STUDIO and its core mission concept: "We don't just focus on developing Hard Skills but also Soft Skills that can be applied in daily life. Additionally, we want to enhance students' innovative perspectives and creativity, and provide space for them to demonstrate their potential in their own way. We believe everyone has different abilities, so providing opportunities to discover and develop their strengths is important, especially in robotics, artificial intelligence, and technologies that require both engineering knowledge and creative imagination. At BU ROBOT STUDIO, we don't just look at technical skills but also enhance other skills necessary for real work, such as professional presentation, photography, and communication. In today's world, deep knowledge alone may not be enough; creativity and the ability to communicate with others is also needed to make work stand out and have market value. This is the origin of our slogan 'INNOVATIVE CREATION with Partnership'."

Collaboration with Expert Partners
Ajarn Ohm emphasized, "Our goal is to develop projects that actually come to life and are truly usable," with support and collaboration from business partners in developing student projects. For instance, Hikvision IoT (Thailand) Company Limited, known as the HikVision brand, a manufacturer of CCTV cameras that provides computer equipment for developing image detection systems, which is an important foundation for developing Smart Classroom, Smart University, and Smart City technologies in the future.

A New Space for All-around Skill Development
BU ROBOT STUDIO is not only a space for exchanging ideas and developing technological projects but also a source for practicing other necessary skills such as communication skills through booth activities at various schools, teaching and knowledge transfer skills, and marketing and sales skills. Ajarn Ohm said, "All skills gained from BU ROBOT STUDIO, whether technological knowledge or experiences outside the classroom, are equally important. We hope students will be able to use these skills in their careers after graduation."
Proud Achievements of BU ROBOT STUDIO
BU ROBOT STUDIO has been the birthplace of many innovative projects, including:

Pixie Box: An intelligent photo booth powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) that has transformed the photography experience from 2D to a new creative 3D dimension. Pixie Box had the proud opportunity to be featured at the "Ruangpriksri x Plernnakon" event at Central Ayutthaya during the Loy Krathong Festival 2024, impressing attendees immensely. Pixie Box also received a warm response from students who participated in the BU OPEN HOUSE 2024 event, who eagerly came to experience and try it out.


BUGO: A real-time university shuttle tracking system with various features such as accurate travel time calculation, passenger density monitoring with AI technology, and efficient trip management to reduce carbon emissions. This project not only addresses convenient and safe transportation but also aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is part of driving the university towards becoming a true Smart University. LUCA Core: An intelligent automated platform for modern building management that integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and real-time data analysis systems to efficiently control various building systems including lighting, temperature, security, and energy. It helps reduce operational costs, increases convenience for users, and supports the concept of sustainable building development, suitable for commercial buildings, real estate, and Smart Campuses aiming to truly elevate standards for the future.
Foot Fit: An intelligent healthcare vending machine for foot health products that combines foot health analysis with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, along with recommending products suitable for each user's foot condition and personalized care guidelines. This project aims to promote proactive healthcare and aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) regarding ensuring good health and well-being for people of all ages.
Currently, BU ROBOT STUDIO is moving forward with the development of a new artificial intelligence project called "BURS AI," which is like a "knowledge heritage" passed down from generation to generation. It provides opportunities for new students to build on innovations through intensive technological research processes, with knowledge transfer from alumni and current students, to jointly drive the future of AI that grows alongside the spirit of endless sharing and creativity.
