BU X Nok Air, Linking Learning to the Aviation Industry and Real-World Work
Bangkok University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic cooperation with Nok Airlines Public Company Limited, building on existing collaboration in education and student development, particularly in aviation business. The agreement connects university knowledge with industry experience, in line with the Practical University approach, which emphasizes learning through real practice and preparing students for the world of work.
The MoU was signed by Assoc. Prof.Dr.Supachet Chansarn, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, Bangkok University, and K.Pichit Sathapitanonda, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nok Airlines Public Company Limited. Witnessing the ceremony were A.Sitthipong Kimsawat, Act for Dean, School of Humanities and Tourism Management, and K.Thana Wangworapakan, Acting Director of Human Resources and Administration.
Through this collaboration, both parties will jointly develop education, training, internships, professional experience programs, and work-integrated learning, including curriculum development and student assessment, so that learning aligns with the standards and needs of the aviation and hospitality industries.
Importantly, the agreement gives students the opportunity to gain experience at the airline and learn from real work. Students will also be considered for employment opportunities, subject to the company's suitability criteria and regulations. The two parties will further support knowledge exchange, study visits, and personnel development, so that students are equipped with knowledge, skills, and professionalism as they step into the aviation industry.
