Transforming Thai Agriculture Toward a Green Future School of Business Administration Partners with Pravit Group to Cultivate Next-Generation Agribusiness Ideas

The Departments of Management and Marketing, School of Business Administration, in collaboration with Pravit Group, organized a business plan competition under the concept "Reinventing Agriculture Hub: Transforming Business for Sustainable Impact" — opening new perspectives for Thai agricultural business in the Modern Trade era. The competition moved beyond traditional fertilizer and equipment sales to explore how modern technology and innovation — such as agricultural drones — can elevate Thailand's agricultural sector, expand the consumer base from farmers to the general public, and address the Clean & Green concept and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Dr.Krairoek Pinkaeo, Dean of School of Business Administration, warmly welcomed executives and judges from Pravit Group.

Agriculture is one of the most important foundations of Thailand's food industry and a key driver of the country's ambition to be the "Kitchen of the World." A critical input in the production chain is fertilizer — currently impacted by energy costs and economic pressures, affecting farmers, production costs, and everyday consumer prices. This competition gave students the opportunity to think critically, analyze, and present business models capable of creating positive economic, social, and environmental impact in a sustainable way.

The project was integrated into the courses MK 335: Brand Management, MK 423: Business-to-Business Marketing, and MG 421: Seminar in Modern Business Management, supervised by Ajarn Yaowaluk Aekphitoon, Dr.Kittisorn Boonnark, and Dr.Chutimavadee Thongjeen. Khun Watcharin Santijari, CFO of Pravit Group, served as a competition judge, while the company's HR team also participated to promote internship and employment opportunities for students.

This activity reflects Bangkok University's Practical University teaching approach — emphasizing real-world learning through the application of theory to authentic business contexts.
