Congratulations to the 4 student teams who won awards at the Amaze Hackathon, a creative video advertisement competition showcasing the launch of the Amaze Super App from Ascend Commerce Company. The first-place team's work will even be used in the company's public relations campaign.
A team from Bangkok University students won 4 awards as follows:
- 1st Place Award: Team Lemonspace
- 3rd Place Award: Two teams - Team Taluengphruengphroet and Team 88SFILM
- Special Award: Team The Generation
Let's uncover the creative secrets behind these 4 teams, starting with Team Lemonspace, who won first place with their work Easy Life, Dawson Style. They shared their inspiration: "This work was inspired by daily journeys that are like facing various scenarios. We don't just mean how we travel, but what we encounter each day. We highlighted the app's diverse management systems, reflecting a daily life full of convenience and smiles from waking up to falling asleep, while showcasing the app's flexibility that meets every lifestyle."
They continued, "With limited time, our team used Storytelling with striking and memorable visuals, complemented by concise and precise Voice Over. We portrayed Dawson's journey from morning to night, including stories of people with diverse lifestyles. This brief storytelling helps viewers instantly understand the app's key features."

Among the two third-place winning teams, the Taluengphruengphroet Team explained their concept by focusing on the target audience from the start: "Amaze's target market is the middle-class segment. We chose office employees as representative characters and incorporated typical work-life scenarios that people in this age group might encounter as a creative element in the video."
They continued, "In the clip, we focused on a key message that is easy to understand and concise, with a clear call to action at the end of the video. Our goal was to help viewers comprehend the content quickly and easily within 30 seconds. By creating this video, our team learned how to craft a clip that aligns with our target audience's lifestyle, enabling them to better understand the message we wanted to convey."

The second team, 88SFILM Team, which also won third place, shared their work: "Our team wanted to present the application in a semi-advertisement, semi-narrative style that tells the story of characters representing users who have never used the app. In the clip, we chose to open with the question, 'Why use Amaze?' To create curiosity for viewers and then gradually explain the features, while incorporating some cute characteristics into some of the characters."
They continued, "Since the application is new, our team had to understand its various features, which was quite challenging. It was a challenge for the team to think about how to present it in an interesting way and showcase the app's unique features to encourage viewers to become interested and download the application. We solved this problem by downloading the Amaze Super App to try it out firsthand to understand it better, and by studying additional information from the website."

Closing with the team that won the special award, Team The Generation, a team representative shared their work "After receiving feedback from the company, we realized this app has many features. We wanted to convey the app's characteristics by primarily exploring its features. So the story in the clip is a conversation between two office workers, where one tries to explain what this app is, aiming to communicate to viewers what the app's core functionality can do."
They continued, "Our team planned to gradually build viewer curiosity about what this app is. However, due to time constraints, we chose to explain two features to help viewers understand. The most important thing we learned from this project is how to tell a story through video in a way that communicates clearly and isn't boring."
