The Event Production and Exhibition & Convention Management programme, School of Communication Arts, organized the "EVENT BU x FabCafe Creative Pitching Project" as part of the course EDM302: Technology for Event, giving third-year students the opportunity to learn through real practice. The project was designed to develop skills relevant to the modern working world through industry collaboration, with students presenting their work to experts from the creative industry via a Creative Pitching process — promoting Experiential Learning and bridging classroom knowledge into a real professional context, held at FabCafe Bangkok, 3rd Floor, TCDC Bangkok (Central Post Office Building).

The activity formed part of the learning outcomes for EDM302, which focuses on technology for the event industry alongside Experience Design. Students developed projects under the theme "Haunted House", applying contemporary technology and innovation to create new forms of interactive and participatory experiences for event audiences — reflecting their ability to integrate creativity, technology, and experience design, which are essential skills for today's event industry.

The project was carried out through a collaboration between the Event Production Department and FabCafe Bangkok, which supported student learning throughout the semester — from organising a Master Class on Experience Design and creative innovation, to hosting workshops at FabCafe Bangkok, and providing consultation and feedback on project development — connecting the classroom learning process with the perspectives and working methods of the contemporary creative industry.

The pitching session was honoured by professional designers from FabCafe Bangkok, including Ms. Kanlaya Kovitwisit, Co-founder, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Warunyoo Worachate from the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, who listened to student presentations and provided feedback. BU Event students demonstrated their full potential in creative thinking, experience design, and technology application, and took away expert insights to further develop their work. Selected students were also given the opportunity to collaborate with FabCafe Bangkok to develop their concepts into actual productions.
