School of Fine and Applied Arts Partners with Practika and Panel Plus to Host Furniture Design Contest 2026

 

School of Fine and Applied Arts, in collaboration with Practika Co., Ltd. and Panel Plus Co., Ltd., organized the BU x Practika x Panel Plus: Furniture Design Contest 2026 under the course PSE 342 Furniture and Space Design. The contest was designed to give students the opportunity to develop their design skills through real business challenges.

 

 

The competition was held under the theme "Healthcare Furniture: Medical Services and Treatment Business," with a focus on encouraging students to create works that meet genuine industry needs while gaining direct experience from design professionals.

 

 

The event was honored by the presence of K.Pimphatra Thanduan, Assistant Managing Director of Practika Co., Ltd., and K.Phakphimon Kamphalanuwat, VP of Sales and Marketing at Panel Plus Co., Ltd., along with their respective teams. They shared their knowledge and experience in design and served as judges evaluating the work of all 4 competing teams.

 

 

The winning team designed a "Stand for Blood Pressure Monitors", led by Miss Jinjutha Petchan, Mr. Pongsakorn Oonsamlee, Miss Panida Sae lee, and Mr. Nukun Phiromplong. They received a 20,000 THB scholarship along with certificates of achievement.

 

 

This contest serves as an excellent example of integrating academic learning with real industry practice, reflecting Bangkok University's mission to develop career-ready graduates and continuously strengthen the relationship between educational institutions and the business sector.
