BUGRAD CONNECT 2026 “From Spark to Impact: Sustainability in Action” — Sparking Ideas, Creating Impact for Sustainability
Graduate School held the BUGRAD CONNECT 2026 event, themed "From Spark to Impact: Sustainability in Action," as a creative close to the 2025 academic year. The event created a space for networking, sharing experiences, and strengthening bonds among alumni, current students, faculty, and staff of the Graduate School, under the concept of driving society toward sustainability, at Diamond Hall, Bangkok University.
A key highlight of the event was the "Circular Style Award" fashion competition, which gave students a platform to showcase their creativity by designing garments from waste materials, presenting concepts of resource efficiency through Reuse, Recycle, and Upcycle approaches to the judging panel. Asst. Prof.Dr.Sasiprapa Phanthanasaewee, Dean, Graduate School, together with program directors, judged the competition and presented awards in three categories: The Circular Style Award (Grand Winner), The Impact Story Award (for the most compelling impact narrative), and The Creative Upcycling Award (for creative transformation of waste materials).
Beyond the competition, the event was filled with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed creative games, an eco-friendly photo booth, and activities that fostered engagement within the graduate community, along with a dinner accompanied by live music that made the evening a memorable and meaningful gathering.
The BUGRAD CONNECT 2026 event reflects the Graduate School's mission to promote learning connected to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while instilling a sense of social and environmental responsibility to develop graduates into a new generation of leaders capable of creating positive value and impact for society.
