BUxKAIT 2026 — Bridging Thai-Japanese IT Worlds Through Real Learning and Collaborative Innovation

School of Information Technology and Innovation welcomed students and faculty member from Kanagawa Institute of Technology (KAIT), Japan, for the BUxKAIT 2026 program — an academic exchange initiative between Bangkok University and KAIT designed to promote learning and exchange in technology, computer science, and culture between students of both institutions Between February 12, 2026 and March 11, 2026


The program brought together 5 students from Japan, accompanied by rotating faculty members from KAIT — Prof. Shigeki Shiokawa, Prof. Kosuke Takano, and Prof. Masahiro Sakai — who oversaw activities and engaged in academic exchange. Students from Bangkok University's programs in Information Technology, Computer Science, and Game and Interactive Media served as peer mentors, supporting and participating in activities alongside their Japanese counterparts.

A Welcome Party was held in honor of the visiting delegation, attended by Asst. Prof.Dr.Somyot Wattanakamolchai, Vice President for International Affairs and Global Education; Dr.Panadda Unyapho, Director, International Affairs Office; and Dr.Pakapan Limtrairut, Dean, School of Information Technology and Innovation


Throughout the program, Japanese students attended classes alongside Thai students, with instruction conducted in English, incorporating knowledge exchange and cross-cultural learning in the classroom. Students from both countries also collaborated on a joint technology project under the theme "AI for Smart Cultural Experience", culminating in a final project presentation at the Farewell Party.


BUxKAIT 2026 stands as a significant initiative in advancing international education — providing students with opportunities to develop technology skills, collaborate in a global context, and exchange culture between Thailand and Japan.
