HM x RAKxa Wellness: Exploring Holistic Health in the World of Wellness Hospitality

Hotel Management Program, School of Humanities and Tourism Management (HM), conducted an extracurricular activity for the course Spa Operations and Management (HM541) under the theme “Holistic Health: Mental and Spiritual Recovery.” The activity aimed to enrich students’ knowledge and perspectives on holistic health care, a key concept in today’s hospitality and spa industry.

This activity was organized in collaboration with RAKxa Wellness & Medical Retreat and RXV Wellness Village Sampran, leading organizations in holistic wellness. They shared concepts and experiences in wellness hospitality, allowing students to learn approaches to health care that encompass physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.

During the session, students participated in a Brain Activation activity designed to stimulate coordination between both hemispheres of the brain. This helps enhance learning skills, analytical thinking, communication, and motor control, while also reducing stress. The session was led by K.Somchai Petchruen, a specialist from RAKxa who shared valuable knowledge and experiences.
Additionally, students took part in activities such as the Flower Mandala Workshop and Reflection & Mirror Emotional, which are forms of art therapy that promote concentration, encourage positive thinking, and provide opportunities for self-reflection through creative processes.

This activity represents experiential learning that bridges classroom knowledge with practical application, while also opening perspectives on the rapidly growing global wellness and spa industry.
