School of Communication Arts X MCOT to Develop Students in Creating Sustainable Social Media Content

MCOT ESG Insight x BRS202 project under the theme Scripts for the World, Voices for Society.

Broadcasting and Streaming Media Production Program, School of Communication Arts, has organized the "MCOT ESG Insight x BRS202" project under the theme "Scripts for the World, Voices for Society" as part of the BRS202: Digital Media Narrative course. The initiative aims to elevate teaching methods to align with real-world mass communication practices while instilling social and environmental responsibility awareness in students.

This project emphasizes the development of a Project-based Learning approach that not only builds media production skills but also promotes analytical thinking, creativity, and teamwork abilities to prepare students for the professional world.

Collaboration with MCOT Enhances Student Potential

School of Communication Arts has partnered with MCOT Public Company Limited to provide students with opportunities to learn about sustainable development concepts directly from industry experts. The Corporate Image Communication Department and the MCOT ESG Insight project team delivered lectures on:

  • Documentary scriptwriting covering sustainable development concepts (ESG - Environmental, Social and Governance)
  • Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Mini Workshop Promotes Participatory Learning

The project activities include a Mini Workshop that provides a platform for students to:

  • Exchange perspectives and ideas on creating ESG and SDGs content
  • Work in groups to brainstorm and present topics of interest
  • Enhance creative communication skills and develop social consciousness

Additionally, a follow-up activity was organized where MCOT representatives attended student team presentations showcasing their projects based on the theme 'Small Things That Help Change the World for Sustainable Growth.

Student Work Published on MCOT Platform

Selected student works, chosen by faculty members and the MCOT ESG Insight team, will be published through MCOT's social media channels (MCOT ESG Insight). This represents a valuable opportunity for students to build their portfolios and gain real-world work experience.

This project reflects the commitment of the Broadcasting and Streaming Media Production Program, Faculty of Communication Arts, to producing mass communication professionals who are knowledgeable, socially conscious, and ready to create work for sustainable development.
