BUGRAD Executive Talk 2025: Special Episode “Global Shifts, Local Impacts: Business Leaders’ Perspectives”

Bangkok University Graduate School organized the seminar "Executive Talk 2025: Special Episode" with the theme "Global Shifts, Local Impacts: Business Leaders' Perspectives" as part of the dissemination conference for the (draft) study on guidelines/measures to promote high-economic-impact SME entrepreneurs under the GDSP framework (Green, Digital, Soft Power, Procurement). Bangkok University was selected as a project consultant for the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) The event was attended by over 200 participants including personnel from government agencies, the private sector, educational institutions, entrepreneurs, faculty members, students, and the general public.



The project aims to promote future knowledge and skills through sharing insights and experiences from senior executives of leading global and national organizations, enabling participants to learn from real situations and apply them to current circumstances. The distinguished speakers included: Mr. Worapoj Thavorawan, Managing Director of Lenovo Thailand and Indochina Region; Mr. Oliver Kittipong Veeratecha, Chief Brand and Media Officer of True Corporation Public Company Limited; Dr. Vichai Narongvanich, Assistant Managing Director of Kasikornbank Public Company Limited; and Dr. Apiradee Khaothien, Deputy Director of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP).

The main objectives of this project consist of two key aspects: Academic/Professional - to enhance new knowledge from actual experts for curriculum improvement and use as case studies, as well as to establish collaborative networks with the business sector; and Image/Reputation - to reinforce Bangkok University's role as a Practical University that connects with the real business world and society, while building confidence and expanding cooperation with the private sector, government agencies, and international organizations. The expected outcomes include elevating QS Ranking through building academic recognition and increasing Employer Reputation, as well as supporting multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).

Future Development: The Graduate School aims to continuously integrate project outcomes into curricula, develop partnerships with business organizations and government agencies through discipline-specific projects and internships, and communicate the university's image at the international level to elevate Bangkok University's role as an institution that produces high-quality graduates for society and global business organizations.
