DIB Bangkok partners with Bangkok University to launch art management classes with world-class professionals

DIB Bangkok, in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Bangkok University, organized the "Empowering Art through Collaborative Partnership" event to promote and develop the potential of Thailand's art scene.

 

DIB Bangkok, in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Bangkok University, organized the "Empowering Art through Collaborative Partnership" event to promote and develop the potential of Thailand's art scene. The initiative features the "Art Beyond Canvas: Management in Art Industry" training program, which focuses on learning art industry management from real experts, along with internship opportunities with partner organizations in the art world both domestically and internationally.

 

 

The event was opened by Ajarn Purat Osathanugrah, President of Bangkok University, Partner of Arc 9, and CEO of Zipcode, who welcomed attendees 

 

 

The project launch event featured a panel discussion titled "Art as Our Shared Legacy," honored by four distinguished speakers:

  • Dr. Miwako Tezuka, Director of DIB Bangkok
  • Dusdee Huntrakul, Contemporary Artist
  • Prapawadee Sophonpanich, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Christie's (CLMVT)
  • Mr. Stefano Rabolli Pansera, Art Director of Bangkok Kunsthalle

 

 

The "Art Beyond Canvas: Management in Art Industry" project focuses on deep learning from real experiences, comprising over 42 hours of training covering content from exhibition curation, art project management, marketing, and artist branding, as well as practical internships with partner establishments for no less than 120 hours to broaden perspectives and develop comprehensive working skills in the art industry.

 

 

Students from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts at Bangkok University can choose to study this curriculum as part of subjects in the International Contemporary Arts and Creative Industries group, which will begin in the 2026 academic year.
