BU Joins in Driving Society Forward with SDGs Sustainability Principles
Educational institutions are a key driver in propelling global society's sustainable development, particularly regarding the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These development targets represent a sustainable agenda ensuring the world will improve by 2030, a mission that requires collaborative efforts from all sectors.
Bangkok University has raised its flag to become part of the committed global movement towards sustainable development across all 17 goals, following the United Nations' conceptual framework. This is achieved through management policies in teaching, research and innovation, social services, and campus activities that promote sustainability for students, faculty, and staff, extending to community areas.
Purat Osatanukrah, President of Bangkok University, was invited to participate in a panel discussion with Professor Dr. Piyamit Sritara, President of Mahidol University, along with Pimwan Diskul Na Ayudhya, Advisor to the Executive Chairman of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation, and Teerabhat Sripiboonpanich, a science student from Mahidol University. Dr. Rapee Boonplueng, a faculty member from the Science Department of Mahidol University, moderated the panel discussion on the topic "Student Sustainable Lifestyle" at the Mahidol University Quality Forum 2024, held at Mahidol University's Salaya Campus.
