BU X Alibaba Cloud to Develop AI and Cloud Computing Learning
Bangkok University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Alibaba Cloud, represented by Asst. Prof.Dr.Duangthida Nunthapirat, Dean, Bangkok University International Programs, and Mr.Kun Huang, a General Manager from Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Southeast Asia.
During their visit to Alibaba Cloud headquarters in Hangzhou, China, the Bangkok University delegation attended the Apsara Conference 2024, an annual event showcasing the latest innovations in Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence. They participated in discussions about the impact of Generative AI, focusing on developments in autonomous driving, humanoid robots, and advanced large-scale model technologies.
Additionally, Asst. Prof.Dr.Duangthida Nunthapirat, along with Dr.Prakaydao Krissadee, Head of Business Administration Program at International College, and Ms. Selina Yuan, Vice President of Alibaba Group and President of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence International, discussed the Gateway project to create practical learning opportunities for students.
This collaboration began with training sessions for Business Administration students at the International College on Generative AI and Cloud Computing, led by Dr. Papon Yongpisanpop, Director of Alibaba Cloud Skills Institute, who also presented Alibaba Cloud-certified certificates that will benefit students' international career prospects.
The partnership between Bangkok University and Alibaba Cloud plans to expand its collaborative network to include other institutions and industry leaders, aiming to create broader educational and innovative opportunities in the future.
