BUHTM X TCEB to Conduct English Proficiency Testing Based on CEFR Framework

School of Humanities and Tourism Management received support from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB to conduct English proficiency testing for the MICE industry based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) standard. The testing was provided to 253 students from the Tourism, Exhibition and Convention Management program and the English Language program.

The collaboration with TCEB's MICE Industry Capacity Development Division ensures that the testing meets international standards and reflects the role of government agencies and educational institutions in jointly developing specialized MICE English language skills, which are essential competencies for professionals in the modern MICE industry. The testing data will also be valuable for curriculum improvement and teaching approaches to meet international labor market demands.

This initiative aligns with the Faculty of Humanities and Tourism Management's vision to become a regional leader in ASEAN for producing graduates with international standards, while supporting the mission to develop learners with competencies ready for work and responsive to industry needs. The CEFR-based assessment serves as another important process that helps elevate students' readiness to compete and grow confidently in the continuously developing MICE industry.
