Humanities Students Showcase Their Potential, Winning Major Awards from National Tourism and Service Competition

Students from the School of Humanities and Tourism Management participated in the 9th National Competition in Service, Tourism, Hotel, and Aviation Business under the theme "Smart Tourism and Soft Power Synergies: Advancing Sustainable Development through Cross-Sector Collaboration" along with the 3rd Tech-Era Tourism Short Video Contest themed "Creative Cultural Tour Guiding," organized by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). The competition featured over 300 teams from educational institutions nationwide.
This year's competition results showed students creating outstanding works and winning several major awards:

English Tour Guide Competition
- Miss Nilada Sambath from Tourism Management program won 1st Runner-up, receiving a trophy, certificate, and 3,000 baht prize money

Honorable Mention Awards (4 awards):
- Miss Saranyanee Panphet (Tourism and MICE Management)
- Miss Araya Rodjanasereechok (Tourism and MICE Management)
- Miss Jasmin wipada Heiss (English)
- Miss Kittimaporn julia Lemmens (English)
Thai Tour Guide Competition Honorable Mention Awards (3 awards) with certificates:
- Miss Pornnapa Taiphaem (Tourism and MICE Management)
- Miss Aswanee Auma (Tourism and MICE Management)
- Mr. Kraiwit Chaiyong (Tourism and MICE Management)
Both competitions had over 100 participating teams nationwide, with 22 teams advancing to the English category finals and 34 teams to the Thai category finals.
National Quiz Competition
Team Tre Trinity MICE won 2nd Runner-up, receiving trophy, certificate, and 5,000 baht prize money. Team members:

- Miss Thanchanok Thanyachat (Tourism and MICE Management)
- Mr. Bavornpak Kiewchaum (Tourism and MICE Management)

Team Tink Tong won Honorable Mention with certificate. Team members:

- Miss Pondao Pokpong (Airline Business Management)
- Miss Paktinun Teera-akkarapat (Airline Business Management)
This competition had over 364 participating teams nationwide, passing through a 30-question preliminary round to advance to a 10-question final round before being decided by Sudden Death rounds.

This competition is considered the largest national academic platform for tourism and services, providing opportunities for students nationwide to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and personality in environments closely resembling real work situations. The competition themes reflect Thailand's tourism development direction that integrates Soft Power with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making this platform not only an academic competition but also a space for inspiration and developing future service industry personnel potential.

This success reflects the determination and academic potential of Bangkok University students who integrate classroom knowledge with skills and creative thinking to produce outstanding works, demonstrating the quality of teaching and professional development in tourism and services, which serves as an important foundation for developing quality graduates in the future.
