Aviation Business Students Explore Ground Operations and Cargo Facilities at Thai Airways

School of Humanities and Tourism Management organized a professional experience field study for students in the Airline Business Management program at the Ground Operations Unit of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited.

This activity was part of enhancing professional experience and real-world learning for students from the Faculty of Humanities and Tourism Management. Students experienced actual airline operations through visits to aircraft hangars, cockpits, passenger cabins, and cargo holds at the Thai Airways Engineering Building, gaining close-up understanding of various aircraft systems.

The key component of the activity continued with lectures and hands-on practice in domestic and international cargo warehouse management at the cargo building. Students learned inbound-outbound processes from cargo intake, document verification, cargo containerization, to shipment dispatch, including the use of air logistics equipment. The activity concluded with students studying operational processes in international cargo warehouses within duty-free zones, while understanding safety standards and regulations related to air cargo transportation.

This activity represents a significant experience that helps broaden students' perspectives, enhance their understanding of warehouse operations and air cargo transportation, and confidently prepare them for future careers in these fields.
