Joint Degree Program Collaborates to Produce New Generation of AI Engineers with Entrepreneurial Spirit

 

Bangkok University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, with Ajarn  Purat Osathanugrah, President of Bangkok University and Associate Professor Komsan  Maleesee, President of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, as the signatories. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Special Prof. Dr. Kittipong  Kittayarak, Chairman of both institutions' councils, who served as witness, along with Asst. Prof.Sansern  Milindasuta, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at Bangkok University, and Associate Professor Somyot  Kaitwanidvilai, Dean, School of Engineering at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, as additional witnesses.

 

 

Ajarn Purat  Osathanugrah, President of Bangkok University, stated: "This strong collaboration aims to provide students with hands-on practical experience and emphasize professionalism for real-world readiness. Upon graduation, students will be able to define their career paths and gain new knowledge through cross-disciplinary integration."

 

 

Associate Professor Komsan  Maleesee, President of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, said: "KMITL is committed to developing the country through science and technology, creating research, and introducing innovations to global society, with the vision of becoming 'The World Master of Innovation' to demonstrate our capabilities in applied research and practical innovations."

 

 

Associate Professor Somyot  Kaitwanidvilai, Dean, School of Engineering at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, stated: "This collaboration is crucial for the future of education, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This inter-institutional cooperation is vital for educational advancement and ensures our curriculum aligns with workforce demands and modern industry trends."

 

 

Asst. Prof.Dr.Aunya  Singsangob, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Bangkok University, explained: "Bangkok University's entrepreneurship curriculum has been developed based on concepts from Babson College, a world-leading institution in entrepreneurship. The program features expert instruction combined with business sector cooperation and networking with acceleration centers both domestically and internationally, which will help cultivate real experiences for students in this program, ultimately producing true Engineer Entrepreneurs."

 

 

This joint degree program serves as a role model for interdisciplinary professional education, combining the strengths of both universities to impart knowledge in artificial intelligence engineering and entrepreneurship. These key skills will help create AI expert leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset and skills, who will become driving forces in Thailand's economy, keeping pace with competition and global business demands.
