For international Chinese programs, applicants are required to take a Chinese language proficiency test to assess their foundation in language studies. The exam is a multiple-choice format with 50 questions and a duration of 1 hour. However, individuals with an HSK score of level 3 or above (valid within the last 2 years) are exempt from the language proficiency test and do not need to undergo foundational language studies.
