The School of Economics and Investments at Bangkok University was first authorized by the University Bureau to offer undergraduate programs in 1986. The school began by offering a Bachelor of Economics program in the field of Development Economics. In 1992, the school added a Bachelor of Economics program in the field of International Economics. A third program, a Bachelor of Economics program in the field of Business Economics, was added in 1994. In 2008, the school began to continuously revise its curriculum to meet the needs of the labor market and the university's identity. In 2010, the school discontinued the Bachelor of Economics program in the field of Development Economics.
Currently, the School of Economics and Investments offers a single undergraduate program, the Bachelor of Economics program. This program includes three elective specializations: International Economics, Business Economics, and Finance. The school also offers a single graduate program, the Master of Science program in Finance. This program was launched in 2014 and was developed in collaboration with Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited to ensure that it meets the needs of employers.
