Thailand's First CLO 3D Academic Day Elevates Fashion Education into the Digital World

A significant collaboration driving Thai fashion education toward a future of innovation and sustainability

Fashion Design Program, School of Fine and Applied Arts, in partnership with CLO 3D software, organized "CLO 3D Academic Day in Thailand," providing students and interested participants with the opportunity to experience cutting-edge virtual fashion design technology. The event was led by Dr.Pathitta Nirunpornputta, Chairperson, Fashion Design Department, and Asst. Prof.Dr.Thanotai Mongkolsin as the activity coordinators.

This event marks a significant milestone in elevating Thai fashion education to international standards, divided into two main sessions: Morning Session: CLO Garment Practice Workshop First-year students from the Fashion Design Program had the opportunity to experience the CLO 3D program, with the honor of having Mr. Chester Lo and Ms. Amalina Baik from CLO 3D as guest speakers providing knowledge and lectures, along with learning materials and teaching documents, enabling students to fully practice and explore the program's various functions.

Afternoon Session: CLO Academic Discovery Day Participants from multiple universities across the country gathered to exchange knowledge and ideas about digital fashion. A key highlight was the Alumni Sharing Session featuring
K. Rawinthorn Rangsiricharoenchai, a Fashion Design Program alumnus who has achieved success using CLO 3D in his professional career. He shared his direct experiences and provided guidance on advancing knowledge into the workplace.

Beyond learning the latest technology, this activity also promoted participants' understanding of how to apply CLO 3D in fashion design work and professional creative projects. It also provided an excellent opportunity to network with students and digital fashion experts from across the country, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
 • SDG 4: Quality Education – Promoting learning through digital technology
 • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – Preparing skilled personnel aligned with the modern fashion industry
 • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure – Supporting the use of technology in design and production
 • SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production – Reducing production waste and promoting sustainable fashion concepts
