BU International Partners with Department of Tourism to Establish a Thai Tourism Personnel Assessment Unit

 

Bangkok University International underwent an evaluation to become an assessment unit for tourism personnel in Thailand. This initiative aims to elevate the competency standards of tourism personnel to international levels in accordance with ASEAN standards under the MRA on TP agreement. The evaluation was attended by Asst. Prof.Dr.Somyot Wattanakamolchai, Vice President for International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangthida Nunthapirat, Dean, Bangkok University International, Assoc. Prof.Dr.Pannee Virunanont and Dr.Somjai Siritrakankij, Associate Dean, Bangkok University International Programs, Dr.Suchada Chareanpunsirikul and Ajarn  Thawit Somrak, Instructor from the Bangkok University International and Ajarn Natwara Khotchasit, Secretary, Bangkok University International Programs. They welcomed the assessment team from the Department of Tourism.

 

 

This evaluation was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, to develop tourism personnel in the accommodation sector, specifically in the Front Office department. It also aims to provide opportunities for university students to undergo competency assessments in their respective professional fields in the future.
