In another year of showcasing talent, second-year students from the Faculty of Information Technology, Bangkok University (1st cohort) were selected to participate in the KAIT Technical Internship Program — marking yet another year as the only private university in Thailand with students chosen for this program. The students received scholarships from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) to intern at Kanagawa Institute of Technology (KAIT), Japan. Selection was conducted through interviews where students pitched project ideas with real development potential.
Congratulations to the 3 selected students, who participated in software development and research projects under the supervision of KAIT faculty advisors, while exchanging academic experience with international students from Japan and Indonesia. This program is part of the ongoing academic collaboration between Bangkok University and KAIT, offering students opportunities to develop skills in computer science, artificial intelligence (AI), and cutting-edge technology.

We had to plan quickly: managing our study schedules and personal lives all at once, because everything happened very fast."

Student Projects
Mr. Naran Lamoonpandh (Tonnnam) and Mr. Thirawut Phuangbuppha (Wind) Project: Performant Boids Simulation with Pathfinding "A game that challenges players against a zombie swarm with natural, unpredictable movement inspired by schooling fish behavior. Developing this required us to research and apply algorithms to make the gameplay engaging. The game is currently a demo completable within 10 minutes on PC, with plans to expand into multiple levels and other platforms in the future."
Mr. Peemmwit Namjad (Peak) Project: Detecting Unnoticed Events Through Multi-Modal Traffic and Pedestrian Simulation "An intelligent traffic simulation of human movement and environmental context for real-time detection of events such as flooding, vehicle accidents, and concerts — alerting users to event locations. Currently, the system cannot yet recommend shortcuts or alternative routes."
Over 2 months of research and lab work, the students collaborated closely with expert faculty from diverse fields and exchanged knowledge with international peers — an experience that not only broadened their perspectives but marked a significant step into the global world of academia and technology.
