BUI x Embassy of Italy x IRENA: I-ACT Climate Action Workshop

Conversations that matter. Action that counts.

The International General Education (IGE) programme at Bangkok University International hosted the I-ACT
Climate Action Workshop on 2 April 2026, in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy and IRENA, reinforcing
its commitment to developing globally aware and responsible students.

As part of the foundation curriculum, IGE continues to create meaningful learning experiences beyond the
classroom. This highly engaging workshop brought students together to explore climate change, renewable
energy, and inclusive approaches to sustainability through interactive sessions and collaborative activities.

We were honoured to have Mr Pierandrea Francavilla, Head of the Economic and Commercial Section,
Embassy of Italy, and a special address by Mr Francesco La Camera, Director-General of IRENA. The
workshop was led by Ajarn Saittawut Yutthaworakool (Matt), supported by Krisha Shrestha.

Students actively participated, exchanged perspectives, and connected key concepts to real-world challenges
and solutions.
