From Dream to Global Studio: Bangkok University CCD Partners with The Monk Studios

In today's creative economy, animation, visual effects, and digital storytelling are reshaping how the world communicates. Bangkok University International College's Creative Communication Design (CCD) program is stepping into that future through a new strategic partnership with The Monk Studios, one of Southeast Asia's most respected animation and VFX studios.

Formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), this collaboration opens direct pathways between classroom learning and professional practice. Students gain access to internship programs, portfolio reviews, guest lectures, and collaborative projects with industry practitioners working on projects that reach billions of viewers worldwide.

The Monk Studios began as the dream of two brothers passionate about animation and has grown into an internationally recognized studio working across film, television, gaming, and digital media. Their reputation is built on combining artistry with advanced technology to deliver cinematic-quality work at the pace modern media demands.

At the MoU signing event, representatives from The Monk Studios joined CCD students for an interactive session and portfolio review, directly expanding internship opportunities for students.

The event was honored by the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangthida Nunthapirat, Asst. Prof. Yanan Kongjaroen, and Dr. Somjai Siritrakankij from Bangkok University International College, with The Monk Studios represented by Nitipat Somsaman, Thanapat Tummati, and Sarut Numrit. The event was organized by CCD instructors Ajarn Vanabud Chaiprakorb, Ajarn Jeffrey C. Hamilton, and Ajarn Arin Chartsiri.

For students, this is a rare opportunity: direct access to a world-class studio while still in university, and a clear window into how creative education translates into real industry impact.
