BU Representatives Join APEC Forum to Enhance Women and Youth Capabilities at International

Bangkok University makes its mark as the only educational institution in Thailand selected to send student representatives to participate in the APEC Forum on Women and Youth Empowerment in Taiwan

Bangkok University makes its mark as the only educational institution in Thailand selected to send student representatives to participate in the APEC Forum on Women and Youth Empowerment in Taiwan, Hosted by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan through collaboration between Bangkok University and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand.

Three Bangkok University students were selected as representatives: Gam Miss Panida Tangtakuljaroen from International Tourism and Hospitality Management, Bangkok University International, Tangkwa Miss Chananchida Chaibutr from the School of Business Administration and Pinmook Miss Pinmook Thaugsuban from the School of Entrepreneurship and Management, Bangkok University International. They participated in the international event under the theme "Advancing Innovative Education and Enhancing Workforce Skills for a Sustainable and Inclusive Future," showcasing Thai students' potential on the global stage.

Sharing Their Inspiration for Joining the Project

Gam Miss Panida "This is a crucial opportunity to learn and deeply understand gender equality issues. Participating in this international project reflects the collaboration between public and private sectors, and the knowledge gained will be applied beneficially."

Tangkwa Miss Chananchida "I was already interested in this topic. This participation is part of my focus on women's empowerment and new generation youth issues. I see it as a valuable out-of-classroom learning opportunity. From my personal field experience seeing social inequality, joining this project will help open new perspectives that can be further developed."

Pinmook Miss Pinmook "As a woman, being part of this project means representing women and youth, emphasizing that success isn't gender-dependent. Women can achieve recognition and success globally, ready to contribute to national and global development."

A Valuable Life Experience

Gam Miss Panida "This participation was an incredibly valuable and memorable experience. I learned about policies and strategies developed to support women and youth participation in society and economy. Networking with participants from various countries allowed for diverse exchange of ideas and work approaches. Most importantly, I gained inspiration from real experiences, hearing stories from successful women and youth in various fields."

Tangkwa Miss Chananchida "As a participant in this APEC Forum, meeting new friends from various countries was a great opportunity and experience. I particularly enjoyed learning about sustainable business practices, especially how to integrate different knowledge areas and use technology beneficially for sustainable business expansion. I also saw how everyone has equal opportunities, and how women and youth like us play crucial roles in regional economic development."

Pinmook Miss Pinmook "This APEC Forum aligned perfectly with my field of study and competition experience, especially regarding Sustainability and Entrepreneurship. It was truly valuable. We gained not just knowledge but also met people interested in the same field, from peers to senior representatives from different countries."

Most Impressive Aspects of the APEC Forum

Gam Miss Panida "The most impressive aspects were Taiwan's warm welcome and the speakers' presentations. Freya Wu's (General Manager of 886 Studios) speech was particularly inspiring, sharing her business journey experiences, which helped me discover more self-worth and career path guidance."

Tangkwa Miss Chananchida "I was most impressed by hearing speakers share their work experiences, both successes and challenges. Especially memorable was the quote about entrepreneurship: 'It's not a speed game. Life and entrepreneurship are about growing. We just need to find, know, and define ourselves to learn and grow.' It gave me great inspiration and a clear picture of real business life."

Pinmook Miss Pinmook "These five days were consistently happy for me. It wasn't just about attending conferences; we gained knowledge and experience from speakers and representatives from each country. I particularly liked Gloria D. Dent's speech, which provided both concepts and inspiration. After talking with her personally, I felt she was truly an excellent example of women entrepreneurs."

Plans for Sharing Their Experience

Gam Miss Panida plans to share her experiences through social media articles, summarizing key information and inspiring points for others.

Tangkwa Miss Chananchida intends to share her knowledge on social media, creating easy-to-understand content on her "Today I Know" page.

Pinmook Miss Pinmook plans to apply this knowledge in various competitions, though she wishes she had participated earlier to gain such vision and advice for previous competitions.

The APEC Forum on Women and Youth Empowerment aims to promote education and workforce skill development for women and young entrepreneurs, focusing on innovation and creativity to prepare for current and future labor markets, leading to diverse and inclusive employment opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region.
