BU MoU with Chefs Association of Thailand to Elevate Culinary Education to Professional Standards

         

School of Humanities and Tourism Management and Bangkok University International College have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chefs Association of Thailand to enhance culinary education by aligning academic learning with professional standards and industry experience. The collaboration supports BU’s Practical University approach, which focuses on equipping students with practical knowledge, hands-on skills, and readiness for the professional workplace.

 

 

         The MoU signing ceremony was attended by A.Sitthipong Kimsawat, Act for Dean, School of Humanities and Tourism Management; A.Jermsuda Manakul, Dean, Bangkok University International Programs and K.Chachaya Raktakanishta, President of the Chefs Association of Thailand, who jointly signed the agreement.    Dr.Daranee Artharn,  Program Director of Culinary Arts and Restaurant Service Management; K.Wirot Choedsang, Vice President and Treasurer and K.Sakchai Ditsakul, Vice President of the Chefs Association of Thailand, also attended the ceremony as witnesses.

 

 

         Under the academic collaboration, both parties will work together to enhance teaching and learning with a strong focus on practical skills and professional standards. Students will have opportunities to learn from the knowledge and experience of professional chefs and industry experts while developing essential skills for working in professional kitchens.

 

 

         The collaboration also aims to prepare students for national and international culinary competitions, alongside developing their kitchen management and operational skills. Through these initiatives, students can connect classroom learning with professional kitchen environments and gain practical experience relevant to careers in the food and hospitality industries.
