45 Years of Love and Connection Return Once Again at "45 Years of HTM: Once Upon a Time... Still Missing You"

School of Humanities and Tourism Management, Bangkok University, held the event "45 Years of HTM: Once Upon a Time... Still Missing You" to mark the 45th anniversary of the School's founding and to celebrate its growth from its origins as "HU" to today's "HTM." The event brought together the people who helped build and drive the faculty forward — School members, staff, alumni, current students, and partner networks.

The event reflected the School's development over the past 45 years across education management, student development, producing quality graduates, and connecting academic knowledge with industry. Attendees from across different eras of the faculty's history came together to reconnect, share stories, and look ahead to HTM's continued journey.

Former deans who played key roles in laying the foundation and developing the School attended the event, including Asst. Prof.Dr.Duangthida Nunthapirat, Assistant to the President for International Affairs and Acting Dean, Bangkok University International Programs, the 10th Dean; and Dr.Jiraporn Kerdchoochuen, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, the 11th Dean, together with A.Jermsuda Manakul, the current Dean.

One of the event's key moments was a gratitude ceremony (Muthitajit) honoring School members and staff who have contributed to the development of the School of Humanities and Tourism Management over the decades — a moment reflecting the School's culture of valuing people, relationships, and passing educational values from one generation to the next.

The highlight of the event was the segment "The Rise of BUHTM Stars: Celebrating Excellence & Legacy," showcasing stories of success, growth, and the School's educational legacy, alongside activities designed to evoke shared memories and the HTM family spirit — including student performances, an HTM trivia game, a shirt auction proceeds to Benefit Bangkok University's Kathin Fund, and beloved Bangkok University campus favorites such as the legendary pork leg rice, Uncle Nuad's noodles, and Jarome drinks.

The event also featured a lucky draw with prizes contributed by the School's partner network and ecosystem organizations, including dining vouchers from leading hotels and restaurants, room vouchers, travel packages, wellness services, concert tickets, and prizes from business partners. Supporting partners included Millennium Hilton Bangkok, Conrad Bangkok, Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road, The Sukhothai Hotel Bangkok, Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Bangkok Riverside, Holiday Inn Sukhumvit, Shangri-La Chiang Mai, The Beach Hua Hin, MIDA DE SEA HUA HIN, Mida Resort Kanchanaburi, RXV Wellness Village Sampran, DIVANA Wellness Spa, IMPACT Restaurant, Mister Travel, CI Showbiz, PAUL, and Rungroj Tour Travel Center Co., Ltd. — reflecting the strong, ongoing relationships between the faculty and its partner network in supporting operations and student development.

"45 Years of HTM: Once Upon a Time... Still Missing You" was therefore not only a reunion of those connected to the School, but also an opportunity to look back on HTM's 45-year journey while passing on values, experience, and inspiration for the next chapter of its growth.
