Airline Business Management, School of Humanities and Tourism Management organized the Aviation Crisis & Service Recovery Program, taking students on a field study to learn from real-world situations at Suvarnabhumi Airport (AOT) and the Hyatt Regency Suvarnabhumi Airport hotel. The program aims to strengthen students' skills in crisis management, ground passenger services, and service recovery during irregular situations — in line with Bangkok University's vision as a "Practical University" that emphasizes experiential, real-world learning.

The program was designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of Ground Passenger Service operations, particularly in handling Irregular Operations (IROPS) such as flight delays, itinerary changes, or stranded passengers — situations that require a solid grasp of operational systems, effective communication, and close coordination among airlines, airports, and hotels to ensure passengers are taken care of smoothly.

Through the activity, students learned everything from Passenger Flow Management and Integrated Coordination among related agencies, to Crisis Communication & Service Recovery techniques, and even co-designing a Crisis Service Delivery Blueprint alongside industry professionals. Students from the Ground Passenger Service (ABM321) and Fare and Ticketing (ABM324) courses took part, reflecting the integration of classroom knowledge with real industry experience.

This activity not only deepened students' professional knowledge but also developed their professionalism, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and capacity to collaborate with relevant organizations — preparing them for careers in the global aviation and service industries.
