Airline Business Management program, School of Humanities and Tourism Management, organized a curriculum enhancement project — "Mission RampShield: Safety Never Sleeps" — through training and site visits at AirAsia Academy. Students enrolled in ABM343 Ramp Operations and ABM345 Air Cargo Management participated to learn about Logistics Transportation by Air through workshops and real-world case studies in the aviation industry.
The activity provided students with end-to-end learning of air cargo processes — from Cargo Warehouse management and air freight transportation to the preparation of key documents such as Air Waybills, customs documents, and Commercial Invoices — as well as last-mile logistics and ground safety standards under international frameworks including ICAO Annex 14 and the IATA Airport Handling Manual (AHM).
Students also developed 21st-century skills including critical thinking, systematic problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, while cultivating a safety-conscious mindset. Practical emergency training included Emergency Evacuation Slide drills and aircraft firefighting exercises.
The project reflects the strong partnership between Bangkok University and Thai AirAsia in developing students into internationally qualified aviation professionals.
