School of Humanities and Tourism Management held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for academic and professional cooperation with the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) to connect knowledge with the industry sector, enhance learning experiences from real-world situations, and prepare graduates for the international MICE labor market.

 

 

Signing Ceremony The signing ceremony was conducted by executives from both parties: Ajarn Jermsuda Manakul, Dean, School of Humanities and Tourism Management, Bangkok University, and Mr. Prachum Tantiprasertsuk, President of the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), who jointly signed the memorandum of cooperation. Witnesses to the signing included Dr. Nontawan Songserm, Associate Dean School of Humanities and Tourism Management, Dr. Siwasak Pansukkhum, Chairperson, Tourism Management Department; Ms. Kritsanee Srisatin, Vice President of TICA; and Ms. Prapapan Sangmueang, General Manager.

 

 

Collaboration Objectives This collaboration aims to elevate the teaching and learning management in meetings, incentive travel, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) industry to align with business sector needs and international standards. By integrating Active Learning and Real-World Learning, it provides opportunities for students to gain practical experience with TICA member organizations, participate in seminars, special lectures, workshops, and simulated work activities to build competencies essential for the international industry.

 

 

Strategic Significance This signing reflects Bangkok University's role in concretely connecting the education sector with the industry sector, reinforcing its commitment to producing graduates with knowledge, skills, and competencies that match labor market demands, and jointly driving Thailand's MICE industry toward international competitiveness.
