Exploring Holistic Healthcare: Wellness Activity Enhances Knowledge from Professionals

Hotel Management Programs, School of Humanities and Tourism Management organized a curriculum enhancement activity on the topic "Wellness: Holistic Health Care" to increase knowledge about wellness and sustainable holistic health care trends for both body and mind for students in the course HM54: Spa Operations and Management. The department was honored to have expert speakers from RAKxa Wellness & Medical Retreat, Asia's first Fully Integrative Wellness & Medical Retreat, led by K. Piyarat Tanjapatakul, Deputy Executive Director of Health Services, along with K. Somchai Phechruen and team. They delivered knowledge and conducted workshops promoting meditation and relaxation through Singing Bowl (Sound Healing Therapy) and Mandala Art Therapy. This allowed students to broaden their perspectives and understand holistic health care methods (physical, mental, social, and spiritual) while being able to apply the knowledge and experience gained from this session as a guideline for future professional development.

This activity was supervised by Ajarn Thanakanok Chuatong, a Instructor from the hotel management programs, school of humanities and tourism management.
