Don’t Just Study Business, Build one Entrepreneurship Program

Automation is reshaping every industry. Job descriptions are changing faster than degree programs can keep up. In that environment, the most resilient career path is not waiting for a role to apply to. It is knowing how to create one

Automation is reshaping every industry. Job descriptions are changing faster than degree programs can keep up. In that environment, the most resilient career path is not waiting for a role to apply to. It is knowing how to create one. The Entrepreneurship program at BU International is not about studying business. It is about doing it, from Year 1, with real money, real customers, and real consequences.

The World Is Not Waiting for Graduates to Catch Up

The market is not rewarding people who know about entrepreneurship. It is rewarding people who have practiced it. The gap between theory and execution is where most business graduates get stuck, and it is exactly the gap that BUSEM is designed to close. Graduates who are independent and proactive, with a high sense of ownership over their work, are the ones companies and investors compete for. BUSEM produces exactly that profile.

Babson College The World's Number 1 Entrepreneurship Program
In Your Curriculum

BUSEM's curriculum is built in collaboration with Babson College, ranked number 1 globally for entrepreneurship education for over 30 consecutive years. This is not a partnership in name only. Babson's academic DNA, its model of entrepreneurial thought and action, is embedded in how BUSEM teaches, assesses, and challenges students. The Dean of the School of Entrepreneurship and Management, Dr. Wutnipong Warakraisawad, sits on the Babson Collaborative Advisory Board, and faculty members, including Asst. Prof. Ulrike Guelich, GEM Thailand Team Leader, ensures that students learn from people actively shaping the entrepreneurship landscape at a global level. International university partners extend the network further, with affiliations including Solbridge International School of Business, Singapore Management University Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Queensland University of Technology, and Macquarie University.

Three Years of Building, Not Just Learning

BUSEM's structure is built around one principle: the best way to learn entrepreneurship is to do it. Year 1 focuses on Idea Generation and Basic Business Concepts, where students launch their first business venture, run Fleshy's Retail Fair, and compete in the BUSEM Ideation Championship. Year 2 moves into Financial Model Analysis and Business Preparation, with students building real financial models, pitching business plans to industry judges, and competing in the Financial Model Challenge. Year 3 is where everything converges: Creating and Running Real World Business Ventures. Students develop AI-driven strategies, manage real entrepreneurial business experiences, raise venture funding, and present at the VC Pitch and Showcase Day. The Summer Semester each year adds depth through Hackathons, with the BU Mini Hackathon 2026 bringing together student teams to build apps for innovation and sustainability. Across the three years, students do not simulate running a business. They run one.

Over 150 Industry Experts

Inside the Classroom

BUSEM's Monthly Update series brings industry leaders directly to students every month for real conversations about real business. Regional managers, country directors, heads of digital commerce, and senior executives from across Thailand and internationally share their experience, challenge student thinking, and open doors that most graduates spend years trying to reach. The Meet the Experts series runs eight rounds per year, giving students exclusive 20-minute one-on-one consultations with founders, investors, and business executives across industries, including retail, logistics, finance, design, and content creation. Industry partners from global e-commerce platforms, consumer electronics brands, FMCG companies, and healthcare organisations have all brought real briefs and real feedback into student learning experiences.

Competing on the Global Stage and Winning

In 2026, Team CASSAPURE from BUSEM won First Place at the Babson Collaborative Global Student Challenge, competing against more than 1,280 teams from 33 universities across 24 countries. Their project transformed cassava peels into biochar materials for SME wastewater treatment, a low-cost, sustainable solution aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This was not a one-off result. BUSEM progressed through advanced rounds in 2023 and 2024, placed Third in 2025, and claimed First Place in 2026, a track record that speaks for itself.

AI Can Build the Shot It Still Can't Build the StoryFilm, Series and Global Content Production and Business Program
AI can generate a scene in seconds, render a background, or draft a line of dialogue. What it cannot do is decide which story is worth telling, build a world an audience wants to live inside, or convince a room of financiers to back it.
