BU Co-Hosts "Kum Tong Cheuam Campus Tournament" — An Electrifying Competition Connecting the Gen Z World
Talent Development Department, Center for Holistic Student Development, joined forces with the YouTube channel "Thep Leela" host of the wildly popular word-connection game show among Gen Z, to organize the "Kum Tong Cheuam Campus Tournament" at Bangkok University — one of the university-level competition venues — together with 4 universities: Srinakharinwirot University, Triam Udom Suksa School, Bangkok University, and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. This reinforces the university's image as open and diverse, and consistently ready to create collaborative activities with external partners.
The event was buzzing with intense "Kham Tong Chuem" competition action from student representatives of 25 educational institutions nationwide, with Bangkok University serving as both a competing team and co-host of the venue. This gave representatives from each institution — most of whom were high school students — the opportunity to closely experience the atmosphere and good vibes of university life. Beyond the excitement of the competition, the event also featured the first-ever on-ground edition of the "Mind Spectrum" program, a talk on the topic "First Jobber: Gen Z's Attitudes Toward Work," led by Phi Terd and Phi Weng, the owners of the Thep Leela channel, who joined in an informal conversation exchanging perspectives with the students. Attendees also got to meet several Bangkok University alumni who took part as staff and influencers, adding color and inspiration for their juniors, along with activity booths from Thep Leela's sponsors that helped round out the fun atmosphere throughout the event.
The event drew overwhelming interest, with over 700 Bangkok University students attending, along with a large number of external participants who registered to join the fun. This underscored the success of the "Kum Tong Cheuam Campus Tournament" as another collaboration between Bangkog University and external partners, genuinely reflecting the Practical University concept — opening up space for creativity and learning beyond the classroom for students and the younger generation.
