Expanding Opportunities for Rapid Game Creation in Games and Interactive Media Program with VIVERSE

rapid prototyping to bring interactive ideas to life from day one.

Games and Interactive Media students experiment with immersive tools and rapid prototyping to bring interactive ideas to life from day one.

Step into a new chapter of immersive learning: the Games and Interactive Media program at Bangkok University partnered with VIVERSE to host a pilot workshop on March 2, 2026.

Around 200 students participated, both in person and via recorded sessions, exploring how VIVERSE can reshape the way game design is taught and practiced. The workshop was delivered in two structured sessions to accommodate a large cohort of first-year students, reflecting Bangkok University’s capability to integrate industry collaboration into formal learning environments at scale.

This initiative aligns with Bangkok University’s broader direction to integrate AI-enabled creation tools, no-code development, and immersive technologies into its Games and Interactive Media curriculum. The goal is to empower students to rapidly prototype ideas while maintaining strong foundations in design thinking and technical understanding.

Tools like VIVERSE are introduced as accelerators for creativity and iteration, enabling students—especially in their early years—to focus on core aspects such as game logic, interaction design, and user experience before progressing to more advanced development environments.

As the first pilot collaboration, the workshop aimed to evaluate how VIVERSE could be integrated into courses long-term, helping students ease the steep learning curve of game development while providing a platform to showcase their own prototypes.

Beyond the workshop, students were encouraged to develop and publish their own interactive worlds, contributing to their portfolios and gaining early experience in deploying real-time, shareable experiences.

This collaboration positions Bangkok University among the first institutions in Southeast Asia to explore VIVERSE as part of an academic learning environment, laying the foundation for future regional collaboration in immersive education.
