Certificates Awarded to Fine and Applied Arts Students for Creative Designs Brought to Life
Asst. Prof.Sansern Milindasuta, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, presented certificates to students from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts who designed the DIAMOND ELEPHANT PANTS and The Kingdom of Creative University — honoring their achievements in creative thinking and the real-world application of academic knowledge
Kritchapoom Niamprasert, a Fashion Design student at the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, designed the DIAMOND ELEPHANT PANTS.
Design Concept: "When I received the brief, I sat and observed that whenever people think of Bangkok University, they think of the Diamond Building — it's our most iconic landmark. So my first concept was to take the distinctive shapes of BU's Diamond Building and build upon them. When you break it down, you get a variety of forms that I blended into the design of elephant pants. My intention was to incorporate as much of the university's identity as possible, while still preserving the essence of elephant pants."

Design Concept: "When we received the brief, the three of us shared ideas about things that remind us of BU — including many small details that tell a story, like the sparrows whose chirping resembles the sound of students chatting in the cafeteria. We also designed characters representing each faculty, and rendered the architectural structures to scale, arranged in a comic-panel style layout. We used line art with flat colors alongside the words 'BU' and 'Enjoy.' This is a work we are truly proud of, and we were overjoyed to be part of it — even more so when we learned it had been produced as a gift to be shared during a moment of celebration."
This certificate presentation was held to recognize and encourage students' potential in applying creative thinking alongside their academic knowledge to produce tangible, real-world work.
