BU Students Create Ideas to Win TikTok Clip Competition for "Tak Bat Phra Roi Ruam Jai Thuai Bua"

Congratulations to 2 student teams who received the Championship Award and First Runner-up Award from the Religious, Arts, Culture, and Tradition Creative Media Competition through the TikTok platform under the project "Tak Bat Phra Roi Ruam Jai Thuai Bua", organized by the Pathum Thani Provincial Cultural Office to promote, preserve, and disseminate the traditional culture of almsgiving to 100 monks in Pathum Thani Province - a unique identity reflecting the lifestyle of Pathum Thani people bonded with Buddhism, waterways, and lotus flowers. Mr. Ongkarak Thongniramon, Deputy Governor of Pathum Thani Province, presented the awards at Pathum Thani Provincial Hall.

Team "Eve-Ava Ma Song Khon" : Ms. Chonlada Pemasathian and Ms. Chonlada Janphong, students in the Digital Marketing program, School of Business Administration, received the Championship Award with 10,000 baht prize money and certificate.

"The clip idea came from wanting to make something that seems distant from young people, so it was a challenging idea - we had to make this clip interesting and modern to attract teenage viewers by presenting through fun gimmicks and emojis, conveying traditional cultural stories from a Gen Z perspective."

Team "FAITHFUL": Ms. Rattanaporn Jitaree, student in the Radio Broadcasting, Television, and Streaming Media Production program, School of Communication Arts, received the First Runner-up Award with 3,000 baht prize money and certificate.

"The presentation idea conveyed the traditional lifestyle story of Pathum Thani people, telling the story through voiceover and atmospheric images from the event day, with storytelling through attractive scriptwriting within 1:30 minutes that had to be complete and interesting."

The proudest and happiest moment for both teams - their first award since studying at Bangkok University. The award made both teams realize that if we intend to do something, give it our all; don't expect awards, but hope that our work is the best. They concluded by saying that if there's an opportunity next time, they'll participate to show their skills again.
