"EVENT BU CHAIRBALL - Let's Have Fun Together Friends" - A friendly match that brought together BU students to compete for the ultimate chairball championship
Third-year students from Event Production and MICE Management program, School of Communication Arts, Bangkok University, organized a creative chairball sports competition under the name "EVENT BU CHAIRBALL - Let's Have Fun Together Friends." This was a project outcome from "Young Event Organizer 2025," held in a Sport Entertainment format to find the ultimate chairball champion, with total prize money exceeding 24,000 baht.
The goal was to provide a space for BU students to express their identity, creativity, and the spirit of being BU students through creative team naming and stylish outfits. It also brought together an unprecedented gathering of clubs and student groups, including the Debate and Public Speaking Club, Volunteer Development Camp Club, Nature and Environmental Conservation Club, Rotaract Club, Communication Arts Drama Family Club, BUCA Talent Club, and the university's football team, all competing to become the ultimate chairball champions. The atmosphere during the competition was filled with fun and excitement with no one backing down, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats. Despite the intense games, when the final whistle blew, competitors from all teams still showed sportsmanship by shaking hands and applauding the winning teams impressively.
For this competition, the organizers added creativity to the rules to make them easy, fun, entertaining, and suitable for all participants. They introduced yellow card rules where rule violators would face penalties such as dancing to catchy hit songs or having white powder applied to their faces.
The event also featured a spectacular athlete parade led by the Recreation Club, who had the athlete teams dancing from entrance to exit, along with special talent shows that added excitement and fun for spectators and athletes. The Creative Dance Club also performed during game breaks for everyone to enjoy, and the event concluded with an energetic FLASH MOB DANCE where everyone in the event showed off their dance moves with fiery enthusiasm.
For the competition results, congratulations to "Team 10K Thalaijai by patok" from the Debate and Public Speaking Club for claiming the chairball championship title. Thanks to all teams who participated and helped create an atmosphere filled with fun, unity, and friendship throughout the event. Whether winning or losing, everyone remained friends on the field, supporting and helping each other warmly, reflecting the event's main concept: "In the end, we're all friends."
