Bangkok University International Advances ASEAN Tourism Personnel Standards, Conducts Receptionist Staff Assessment under ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (ASEAN MRA-TP) in Cooperation with the Department of Tourism

Bangkok University International successfully organized the ASEAN Tourism Personnel Assessment Course in Accommodation Sector for Receptionist Position for fiscal year 2025 (B.E. 2568). The main objective is to promote and enhance professional skills of hospitality service personnel in accordance with the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (MRA-TP).


This course is designed to assess the competencies and capabilities of personnel working as Receptionists according to ASEAN-level standards. This will help build confidence in the quality of Thailand's tourism services and enhance competitiveness in the regional tourism labor market.

This initiative represents a significant step in creating common regional standards within ASEAN, particularly for the "Receptionist" position, which serves as the first point of contact in creating impressions for tourists.

Bangkok University International has opened opportunities for hotel and service industry organizations to consider sending their Front Office personnel to participate in the assessment course to prepare for international certification.

The event was honored by Mr. Boonserm Kaewkhan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Tourism, who delivered the opening remarks and explained the course's aims and objectives via.
