"Cybersecurity and IT Empowering Day" Ignites Cybersecurity Potential

School of Information Technology and Innovation moves forward in creating quality personnel for the cybersecurity field by organizing the "Cybersecurity and IT Empowering Day" project to enhance knowledge, skills, and inspiration for students in an era where cyber threats are becoming increasingly complex.

The highlight of this event is the BU-ITI CTF (Capture The Flag) Competition 2025, organized in collaboration with G-Able Public Company Limited, a digital technology leader, and the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), the country's main cybersecurity agency. A total of 20 teams of students participated, demonstrating their abilities in solving cybersecurity challenges in CTF format, covering system penetration, decryption, data analysis, and team work under pressure.

The event was honored by distinguished speakers who shared knowledge from real experiences at national and international levels.

Mr. Attapol Payak, Acting Managing Director & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of CyberGenics Co., Ltd. and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of
G-Able Public Company Limited, a leading cybersecurity expert, provided in-depth knowledge about "Threat trends and response strategies in digital-era organizations" along with guidance on highly demanded career paths in Cybersecurity.

Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary-General of the National Cyber Security Committee, who plays a key role in determining the country's cybersecurity policies, lectured on "The role of government in strengthening cybersecurity and opportunities for Thai youth on the global stage," which received overwhelming interest from students and personnel.

Results of the BU-ITI CTF Competition 2025: The competition was intense and challenging, with several teams performing exceptionally well.

First Prize – Team FrankFurt received a prize of 2,000 Baht with certificates

First Runner-up – Team MonkeyBrains received a prize of 1,500 Baht with certificates
- Mr. Banyapong Molanil

Second Runner-up – Team Theweakest received a prize of 1,000 Baht with certificates
- Mr. Rittikiat Khumyarach
- Mr. Thanutdit Pornkitwattana

The "Cybersecurity and IT Empowering Day" project represents another commitment by the faculty to equip students with knowledge, skills, and real industry experience, preparing them to become quality "cyber warriors" of the new generation who are responsible and aware of the importance of cybersecurity at the national level.
