Airline Business Management (BU AIR), School of Humanities and Tourism Management in collaboration with the Air Force Institute of Aviation Medicine organized a basic first aid workshop for more than 200 third-year students in the Airline Business Management program at the Tourism Tower (A5) building, Bangkok University.

This project focuses on developing basic first aid skills and emergency management on aircraft through Active-Based Learning and Experience-Based Learning. The workshop was honored to have Group Captain Suwisa Suktrakun and a team of experts from the Air Force Institute of Aviation Medicine share their knowledge and real experiences in aviation medicine. Students learned and practiced in simulated situations such as CPR and using Automated External Defibrillators (AED), assessing emergency conditions of passengers on flights, managing emergency situations like unconsciousness, breathing difficulties, or injuries, and communicating and coordinating with medical teams and emergency agencies.

Additionally, all students were evaluated on their first aid capabilities by experts from the Medical Department of the Royal Thai Air Force and received certificates for passing both practical and theoretical tests, which will create opportunities for them in the airline labor market.

This collaboration reflects Bangkok University's commitment to developing modern curricula that meet international standards. The faculty team of the Airline Business Management Program stated, "We believe that practical training is a key to preparing students for work in the aviation industry. This project not only enhances knowledge of aviation safety but also helps students develop decision-making skills and teamwork under pressure, which are essential in airline careers."

Bangkok University continues to develop collaborative projects with the aviation industry to produce quality personnel ready to meet the needs of airlines in the current era.
