The Department of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, organized a certificate awarding ceremony for activities related to the Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (MRA on TP) for the year 2024. The ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Tourism and Sports,
Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, who gave the opening remarks and presented certificates. The Director-General of the Department of Tourism, Mr. Jaturon Phakdeewanit, delivered the report at The HALLS Bangkok.
At The Bangkok University International (BUI), Asst. Prof.Dr.Somyot Wattanakamolchai, Vice President for International Affairs, represented the institution in receiving the plaque for the tourism personnel assessment unit according to the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (MRA on TP) for the Front Office Division.

Ajarn Jermsuda Manakul, Dean, School of Humanities and Tourism Management, received the plaque for the tourism personnel assessment unit for the Food and Beverage Services Division.

The event also featured an academic panel discussion on the topic "Strong Together: Enhancing Quality Tourism Professionals in ASEAN", with Lecturer Subuncha Srisanga sharing experiences about the MRA on TP. There was also an exhibition booth presenting the tourism personnel assessment unit, manned by faculty members and students from Bangkok University.
