BU Student Team Presents Soft Power Ideas Creatively Spanning Industry Sectors
A team of Bangkok University students joined as one of the teams in the Youth In Charge Creative Career Academy Project, 1st Generation, participating in the program for over 3 months. This program creates a space for "youth" to nurture creative skills, explore diverse interests and career paths in the creative industry (Creative Career Exploration), broadening their horizons and building connections before entering the real workforce
The Bangkok University student team presented ideas as drivers and developers of Thailand's "Soft Power", particularly "Branding Thailand by Youth", proposing extensions into other activities and cross-sector integration within the creative industry. Their ideas can be practically applied, addressing the soft power strategic policy drive of the Soft Power Strategy Committee concretely, and leading to business opportunities that will strengthen Thailand's creative economy and gain global confidence.
Additionally, they learned from "senior Youth In Charge Ambassadors", real practitioners in various creative industry branches, such as Chayanop Boonprakob, renowned film director and screenwriter of works like "Suck Seed" and "Friend Zone", or Pen-ek Ratanaruang, famous film director and screenwriter of "6ixtynin9" and "Monrak Transistor" from the film industry. Anuchit Kamnoi, writer and illustrator, owner of the "Kiewtum" page that has been active online for over 10 years, from the art industry. Sarut Tubloy, developer of "Home Sweet Home", a Thai horror game famous worldwide and now entering a new dimension in Hollywood films, from the gaming industry. And Saranya Yukhongdi, jewelry designer and founder of SARRAN, a Thai jewelry brand featured in BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA" MV, from the design and fashion industry, all came to share their ideas and inspirations.
