BU's Only AI Engineering Student Earns a Seat at AI Live + Labs: Bangkok 2026 as Google Student Ambassador
Through dedication to building AI skills and creating content as a Google Student Ambassador, she has successfully risen to a national stage.
Technology knowledge is not limited to writing programs or developing software — it can also be leveraged to genuinely improve people's quality of life. This is precisely what two students from the School of Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Data Science Program, demonstrated: Miss Yonwaree Kanjasan and Miss Julia Yrjoelae (BU Creative Scholarship students, Class of 2024), who integrated their technology expertise with health rehabilitation science to win First Runner-Up at the NTU Hackathon: Innovating Functional Recovery, a collaboration between Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) and Klongdinsor.

Congratulations to Araya Nanvichai and Chanunya Sutti, for being selected as Google Student Ambassadors.
Another source of pride as Team Siam Pose, students from the School of Engineering, advanced to the final 38 teams out of 54 teams nationwide in the Learn Lab 2025: Soft Power Beyond AI project with their work "PIXIE BOX" - a photo booth system that uses AI to transform you into traditional Thai Likay costumes in real-time. The team drew inspiration from the royal words of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, who told Chaiya Mitchai, "Don't abandon Likay," inspiring the team to revive Thai arts and encourage the new generation to proudly share Thai culture with the world.

A photobooth that's more than just a system that changes your clothes into a Likay costume in real-time-it also features a game using Pose Estimation technology that captures body movements.
