Congratulations to Team ParkView — members Ms. Julia Yrjoelae, Ms. Yonwaree Kanjasan, and Mr. Punnawit Suraruk, students in Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Data Science, School of Engineering — creators of "Park View," a smart parking recommendation system using CCTV cameras, for winning the Popular Vote Award among 213 teams narrowed down to 21 finalists at the BDI Hackathon 2026: OPEN AT BANGKOK, held under the theme "Building a Smarter Bangkok, Scaling to a Smarter Thailand." The competition was organized by the Big Data Institute (Public Organization) under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society.

This is precisely what two students from the School of Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Engineering and Data Science Program, demonstrated: Miss Yonwaree Kanjasan and Miss Julia Yrjoelae (BU Creative Scholarship students, Class of 2024), who integrated their technology expertise with health rehabilitation science to win First Runner-Up at the NTU Hackathon: Innovating Functional Recovery, a collaboration between Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) and Klongdinsor.

Another source of pride as Team Siam Pose, students from the School of Engineering, advanced to the final 38 teams out of 54 teams nationwide in the Learn Lab 2025: Soft Power Beyond AI project with their work "PIXIE BOX" - a photo booth system that uses AI to transform you into traditional Thai Likay costumes in real-time. The team drew inspiration from the royal words of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, who told Chaiya Mitchai, "Don't abandon Likay," inspiring the team to revive Thai arts and encourage the new generation to proudly share Thai culture with the world.
