Bangkok University Partners with Channel one31 to Launch "BU COME ONE GEN 7"

Bangkok University, in collaboration with Channel one31, continues to build on the success of the "BU COME ONE GEN 7" project — opening opportunities for Faculty of Communication Arts students with interests in mass media, television programs, drama, and news to learn through real work experience alongside professionals in the television and digital media industry, with pathways to become trainees and pursue future employment.

The event was honored by the presence of Khun Diew Woratangtrakul, Chief Operating Officer of One Thirty One Co., Ltd.; Khun Sant Srikaewlo, Drama Director, Drama Production Division, Channel one31; Khun Parichat Kitpattanasin, Senior Producer, Channel one31; Khun Ratchata Sombatpaiboolchai, Manager of the Drama Promotion Team, Channel one31; and Khun Thiraputh Premaprayoonwongsa, Deputy Director of News, One News Agency. The panel discussed how today's audiences are watching less traditional television and consuming more content through online platforms — requiring media professionals to constantly adapt — and shared guidance on submitting work for the program. Students gained a comprehensive overview of real operations at Channel one31, from content production processes and teamwork to the skills media organizations are looking for in the next generation, amid the evolving media landscape shaped by online platforms and AI.

BU COME ONE GEN 7 attracted significant interest from Communication Arts students eager to use this platform to demonstrate their potential, creativity, and gain real working experience with one of Thailand's leading media organizations. Open positions span multiple tracks including News Division (TV/Online) — reporters, news producers, and content creators; Program Division (TV/Online) — creative content creators; and Drama Division — assistant directors, co-producers, and creative editors for short-form drama promotion clips and digital content.

The BU COME ONE project stands as one of Bangkok University's most significant professional collaboration initiatives — bridging classroom learning with real industry experience, giving students the opportunity to prove themselves through their work and build concrete career pathways in mass media and entertainment.
